Don’t worry about your face getting sucked off but it does have a weird feeling…  It tries to suck most all the stubble and nasty hairs to keep your sink clean but that’s what it’s there for!  See your wife is already going to be happy with you and now you can bug her for leaving her long hairs in the sink LOL.

How good of a job does it do at keeping hairs inside of it?

80-90%.  Honestly folks, unless your a clean freak I would recommend the Panasonic ER-GB40-S because you can take it in the shower with you and let the water do the work.   This philips QT4050/41 would be good for places like work or in the car and other places where you don’t have quick access.   But why are you afraid of letting people know you have a 5 o clock shadow?  Just teasing ya..

Conclusion

So it’s sexy but what else?  LOL don’t get turned on by it!  The dial is what makes it stand out and buy it over a different product.  It has 19 (yes, still a teenager) dials which is the most in the Panasonic trimmers series.  If you can’t find your perfect setting among 19 dials, you my friend are a hard one too please.  Sorry guys, you don’t always get 19 tries with Women in life but at least you do on this one.

What else will you like about it?  Take it in the shower with you.  Wash it but not with your clothes lol.  You won’t be sticking in individual bunny batteries because it is rechargeable.  Free Willy won’t like this saying but you can shout out “Clear the water hole!” each night after you use it.  There is a quick drain/clean system that I liked when using it.

The pros: this product is easy to clean, and it has a rotary dial that makes it very easy to adjust ‘cut length’. Its design is very simple, and I really enjoy that. It also has a battery that lasts a LONG time. Unlike some of the alternatives, this one doesn’t ‘pull’ hair, and it’s quite a bit classier looking than previous Remington models. At #3 is the Philips Norelco QT4070, and if you can’t pass this model up because of its powerful vacuum capability, get a decent price on it right here. Out of a staggering 800+ reviews on merchant websites, nearly 600 of them are 4 and 5-star reviews. However, this model does have a little bit more 1 and 2-star reviews than similar products, but it still made #3 on the top list.

If it didn’t have a few particular downsides, it would’ve been at #2 just because it has a vacuum. Although some customers have actually said they think the vacuum idea is stupid, I think it’s AMAZING. I can’t tell you how many times my wife has nearly kicked me out of the house because of the huge stubble mess I left behind.

Now, I want to say that Wahl is certainly a trusted brand. I like Phillips and the others, but every product that I’ve ever purchased from this brand has been premium quality, even at the lowest price range. Just a quick glance at the scissor blades on products from this company will reveal just how close of a trim these products can give. So, here we have a product from a well-known brand. I’m not a huge fan of this brand but not because they suck or something – I just don’t have a long relationship with them. Quickly, let’s take a look at the basic features.

• Has 9 different length settings, which is particularly useful for you cavemen out there. Remember, it’s so easy a caveman can do it!
• Has a whopping three precision-ground blades. I’m not really sure what that means – but it sounds good. What, you were hoping for 10 blades?
• Supposedly, has 120 minutes of manscaping power. That’s useful.
• Blades are coated with titanium. This should make the blades last longer.
• Last but not least, drum roll please, Lithium-ion powered! Suddenly, I’m getting a few flashbacks of the Duracell commercials. Who the hell cares if it is lithium-ion powered – I know I don’t. I have a feeling that’s just a way to make it seem cooler, LOL. Who knows?

Now that I’ve covered the basic features, let me ramble on in a boring way about the SECRET features – you know, the ones that will have the girls flocking to you like you’re the last piece of chicken in the bucket. Just kidding, but I do want to highlight a few other selling points.

This beard and mustache trimmer has a few length settings, 9 to be exact, so you can really get that ‘perfect look’. It has a washable, ergonomic design, rechargeable battery and enough sleekness to make you worship it. Really, though, this thing IS SLEEK. Don’t take my word for it – look at the picture.

If you took my Norelco and this trimmer and put them in a sleekness contest, the MB4040 would walk all over the Norelco. Shameless manufacturer plugs aside, (sorry Norelco, LOL), this trimmer is great. This trimmer also has three specialized attachments, so you can annihilate even the most-stubborn facial hair. Two-year warranty means Remington really stands by this product.

The attachable heads let you choose between stubble, goatee or beard trimming. When this brand says the motor is powerful, I believe it. However, I still think Wahl trimmers have stronger motors overall, but if you frequently trim the hairs on your nuts and GET TOO CLOSE, it’s nice to have a weaker motor – if you know what I mean.

To recap, upon purchase, you will get the MB4040 itself, a stubble attachment, goatee attachment, beard attachment, a manual and the charger. From what I understand, this trimmer cannot be used while plugged in. That’s the only thing I don’t really like, which is different from the Norelco BG2040 BodyGroom.

After checking the reviews on many top consumer portals, this trimmer has an overwhelming number of four and five-star reviews. The good-to-bad review ratio greatly favors GOOD REVIEWS. Once again, I’m sure the negative reviews are mostly guys who just happened to end up with one of the bad apples of the product bunch or have enough time to go complain about a $30 trimmer.

• I know; you love these sexy bullet points. Phillips says this product can be used for ALL areas of your body. Let’s hope that includes the sack, and by sack, I mean – you know. It can trim your shoulders, back, abs, chest and private parts. Yes!
• It has a 3-D pivoting head, which provides a close shave with minimal skin irritation. You know me – I simply won’t stand for those 2-D pivoting heads. If I wanted 2D, I would hook up my old Nintendo. Maybe I’m just not smart enough, but I honestly have no clue what a 3-D pivoting head is – I thought everything in the real world was 3D. I guess you’ll have to figure that one out.
• Rounded combs and blades that prevent scratching your precious man-skin. At least this time the comb is built-in.
• High-performance trimming utensil, who’s amazing cutting capabilities provided extremely-refined grooming. I won’t settle for anything less than refined grooming!
• Dual-end, all-in-one grooming solution.
• Note: I just noticed that this device is double-sided – for the ladies reading this, don’t get any ideas.
• Can be used dry or while showering. Honestly, for a body-grooming device, you really should be able to use it in the shower. However, for the ape and gorilla-like men out there, you’re going to need a good drain plug that will catch your makeshift-wig worth’ of hair, or after a month or two, you might have to call a plumber.

Also, after reading the top review for this product on Amazon, the guy says “this thing really works – yes, even on that”, and by that, he, of course, is talking about his private parts. I’m going to go ahead and just give you a quick run-down of what I think of this product. The large and small-blade attachments are the bread-and-butter of the product; one of these attachments will almost always be attached to the trimmer.

The attachments that are needed for beard trimming or hair cutting must be connected to either the small or large-blade attachments. As a general rule, I only use the large blade when I’m cutting hair on my head or body. The large blade won’t cut your body when trimming hair. However, it’s important to understand that the small blade cuts shorter than the large blade, so that’s why I typically use the small blade when I need to cut hair extra short. Depending on your preferences, you might want to consider the Philips Norelco QG3360-42, or if you’re keen on performing frequent manscaping, go with the Philips Norelco BG2040.

If I haven’t shaved for a few days, I might use the Norelco trimmer with the small blade piece by itself to trim my facial hair before taking a razor to it. Overall, the G370 is an EXCELLENT product for the money. You really cannot get more bang for your buck with this product. You’d think for such a low price that this trimmer would be low-quality, but it’s actually very durable.

Yes, a couple attachments have lost a prong or two, but they still work flawlessly. Unfortunately, the ‘shaver’ attachment doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. I’ve tried shaving with it multiple times, and it simply doesn’t work. Maybe I’m not using it right, but I doubt it. The nose-hair attachment works, but I don’t really ever use it. To close this out, this product is worth the money.

The only real downside is the fact that you cannot use the trimmer while the charger is plugged into it. That is a huge inconvenience for me when I need to trim something quickly but don’t have time to wait hours to charge the trimmer.

I’m not quite sure why Phillips decided to do it that way because I’ve used plenty of buzzers that allow you to use the product while it charges, simultaneously. However, I’m still a huge fan of this trimmer.

My Norelco G370 cannot be used while it’s plugged in, which means it can only be used on battery charge, and at times, that’s a huge inconvenience for me. This trimmer can apparently run for 50 minutes after being charge for 60. Compared with my G370, that’s really remarkable, LOL. Really. My Norelco only runs for like 5 minutes per 60 minutes of charging.
• Is Water resistant. Here’s a great advantage. Apparently this makes the trimmer easier to clean. A water-resistant trimmer is certainly nothing new, so I can’t complain.
• 7 different attachments, which are meant for both head and face trimming. You get a stubble comb, mustache and beard comb, min-foil shaver, nose trimmer, detail trimmer, full-metal guard trimmer and hair clipper. How can a man go wrong with a stubble comb? Because, you know how much I love to comb my hair stubble. No offense to the manufacturers, but I think it’s hilarious how they all throw in the little combs. Whatever it takes to make you think you’re getting more for less, right? Honestly, though, back when I had long, girly hair, the combs would have been VERY useful, LOL. As a matter of fact, I probably bought at least 100 combs while on the job when I used to work retail. I would lose the comb I bought the day before and needed to look good for the ladies, so I’d just buy a new one at least once a week. Sad – I know.
• Just a side note – it seems a lot of guys buy a precision trimmer with the Philips Norelco QG336/42. I guess you got to trim the uni-brow sometime, right?

Now that the basic features are covered, let’s look at what else is important. This trimmer gives you 18 different length settings, so you shouldn’t have a problem getting the look that you want.

Something unique that I noticed about this trimmer is the fact that it has a ‘Turbo-Boost feature’, which is great for you gorillas out there who have thick, stubborn hair. However, a little word of caution – don’t use the Turbo feature when manscaping ‘certain’ areas, which will help you to avoid serious injury, LOL.

This trimmer from Phillips can do almost anything. It seriously has an attachment to accomplish almost anything. Now, if only the Turbo-Boost feature would work on my car. Oh well. The Philips Norelco QG3360/42 is almost twice the price of the cheaper models – I don’t really know what additional awesomeness you’re getting for the increased price.

I guess you’re getting a few extra features, such as the Turbo Boost, storage pouch (got to have this!), body-grooming attachment, body-trimming attachment and, of course, the comb! LOL.

My Shocking Conclusion

Heck, I’d pay for it just to get the comb and body-grooming shaver. However, it’s up to YOU. Oops, I almost forgot to tell you that this product has great reviews, and so does the Wahl 79300-400.

With only four 1-star reviews and nearly 10x that in 5-star reviews, I think consumers really enjoy this product.

With nearly a thousand reviews on Amazon, I believe this trimmer was created quite some time ago. While I attempt to keep you entertained, let’s take a peek at the basic features. This trimmer and haircutting set:

• Has a soft-touch grip. I have to admit I’m a big fan of the soft-touch grip – it really dopes improve control and comfort. I find that with no grip, my Norelco trimmer is quick to slide out of my hands like a wet bar of soap.
• Great for total-body and head grooming. No, fellas, it’s not referring to that head. Well, if you had hair growing there then you’d have to be one of those freak werewolf-brothers, LOL. Honesty, there’s nothing quite like a cheap beard and mustache trimmer that can also be used for a full-body groom. Although my sisters and mother make jokes about me not being ‘straight’, I can assure you that even the straightest guys need a full-body manscaping session. Besides, studies show that MOST women prefer a man with minimal ‘body’ hair.
• Carbon-steel, self-sharpening blades ensure precise trimming for years to come. As I mentioned earlier, who the heck wants to sharpen their beard trimmer’s blades, LOL.
• Color-coded keys – these are for the dumber guys – LOL, just kidding. As shown in the picture, the color-coded keys make it easy to match the right combs with the right settings.

So, what do I like about this product? Well, it comes with a snazzy case. Who doesn’t want that, LOL? It’s something to make the wife or girlfriend jealous. Listen, if you want to give yourself or others a decent, at-home haircut, for the price you just can’t beat this set.

If you think you’re going to get truly professional hairstyling from this set, think again. I’ll just end this review by saying that Wahl is basically the king of ‘strong motors’.
